What happens to materials I’ve downloaded if I don’t renew? +
All materials downloaded during your licence year remain yours to use permanently. You keep every pack, toolkit, and workbook you’ve downloaded. What renewing provides is continued access to the learning portal, any new packs released after your renewal date, and updated versions of existing packs reflecting changes in legislation or sector practice.
How many volunteers can I train with one licence? +
Unlimited. There are no per-volunteer fees and no limit on how many volunteers you train using the materials. The facilitator seat limit (∼10 for the single licence) applies only to internal staff who access the learning portal directly — it does not restrict the number of volunteers you can train in sessions, remotely, or via self-study.
Can I customise the materials for our organisation? +
Yes. All licence holders can adapt content for local context, add their logo to presentations, and tailor examples for their setting. Editable Word files for deeper customisation are available with the Network / Umbrella Licence only. All licences include editable PowerPoint files. All licences permit internal use and adaptation — materials may not be redistributed externally or resold.
We’re a CVS — can we share access with our member organisations? +
Yes. The Network / Umbrella Licence is specifically designed for CVS bodies and umbrella organisations that want to provide access to multiple independent member organisations under a single agreement. It includes governance reporting, bespoke branding, and central oversight tools not available on single licences. Contact us to discuss your structure.
Is there a free trial or sample pack I can see first? +
Yes. A selection of complete free packs is available on the Free Resources page — no payment or registration required. These are full, complete packs in the standard format, not edited samples, so you can properly assess the quality, depth, and style before subscribing.
Are the packs updated when legislation changes? +
Yes. All packs containing content that may be affected by UK legislation or sector guidance are monitored and updated when relevant changes occur. Updates are released to current subscribers at no extra cost throughout the licence year. This is one of the most important reasons to maintain an active licence — downloaded materials from previous years may not reflect current law, whereas the portal always holds the most current version.
Can I buy a single pack rather than a full licence? +
Yes — single pack purchases are available at £50 per pack as a one-off download (static PDF, no portal access, no future updates included). However, a single licence at £295 gives you all 54+ packs, working out at under £6 per pack. For most organisations running more than a handful of sessions a year, the full licence is significantly better value — it pays for itself after just six packs.
Can I use the materials for in-person and remote training? +
Yes. All materials are designed to support in-person, hybrid, and remote delivery. Every pack includes facilitator notes covering virtual delivery, and self-study workbook versions are included for volunteers learning independently.
