Overview

This session aims to equip participants with essential communication skills for their volunteer roles.

The training seeks to enable volunteers to discuss their communication needs, explore misunderstandings, understand the role of listening, identify different communication methods, and determine how to respond in situations where communication breaks down.

Ultimately, the training is designed to enhance volunteers' ability to communicate effectively in various situations they may encounter.

Objective

By the end of the session participants will:

- have discussed who they, as volunteers, need to communicate with and why
- have explored misunderstandings and why they happen
- have considered the role of listening in communication
- have identified different ways of communicating
- have discussed what to do if things go wrong
