Each pack is a timed 2/3 hour training session, set out so that even the inexperienced can deliver a professional session.

The packs are flexible and can be used for an entire training session or activities lifted out for shorter workshops.

This is departure from our stock training packs in that it is a self-study induction pack for the volunteer. We wrote a self-study pack for local organisations and in response to requests have developed this for more general use. The workbook requires the volunteer to do some research or reading and there are written exercises to complete as well as short quizzes and knowledge checks. There is provision throughout the book for volunteers to make notes or highlight anything they want to discuss further. There is a brief user guide outlining the ways we have found work when using the workbook. If you know a volunteer has literacy problems then we suggest pairing up with a ‘buddy’ to offer support.
