Which Banks are best for voluntary organisations?
A forum member has posted this question and we’d be interested to hear about your experiences with banks. Do some understand the sector better than others? Which ones give the best service? According to an article in the Third Sector (26/1) the Ł8m brokerage scheme which matches jobseekers with volunteer placements is unlikely to meet its target. DWP’s figures show that in the first six months 4,710 people took up places, the target was to match 40,000 with placements in two years. The scheme is being run by BTCV, CSV, Volunteering England and v.

Is it volunteering? Volunteering groups feel that to label the compulsory community work that some 14 -16 year olds are taking part in as volunteering is wrong and that another term needs to be used. What do you think?
